See Jones, Walter, OT, Seattle Seahawks.

Also note Alexander, Shaun, RB, Seattle Seahawks and James, Edgerin, RB, Indianapolis Colts

Every year we keep him tagged he loses leverage. RBs age more quickly than other positions. Plus after seeing what happened this offseason to Alexander and James, I'd think he'd jump at the chance to sign now.

Nice to use our tag for something other than a punter.....

The RB tag is $6,323,000 this year. Next year it'll be over $6.5 mil. No way we pay him that. He's nowhere near that class.

Right. I'm sure the Panthers have offered backup money. It doesnt say anywhere he doesnt want to be here, as already said. The guy wants to prove himself. I think its a good attitude.

I say we seek a 2nd rounder for right now.....if not let him have his breakout season or get hurt again then let him go for free....atleast we get his best season ever or see that he is nothing more than Biakibtuka.

We won't get better than a 3rd - What Buffalo got for Travis Henry.

There is no way I lock him up long term right now. He has not proven he can make it through a whole season without getting hurt. He had a nice run in the playoffs but he has not done much outside of that. If Shelton is as good as I expect then he will be our feature back after this season. We need a bruiser in there to grind out tough yards and hold up. Foster is more of a home run hitter but not a guy you want to carry your team.

We would be ok with Shelton starting and Goings and Hoover backing him up and playing full back. Maybe next year we draft a small quick guy as a change of pace to take five or ten carries a game from the starter.

Let Foster play the year out and if he earns a big payday good for him and good for us (since we got a year of great play from him).

I don't think we could get a 3rd. Henry was healthy. I think it would be a 5th or 6th. Not worth it.

Gant says today the Panthers have not offered Foster anything. So of course, he would say he's not interested now. It saves face since he's not being offered anything. But he would rationally want to wait anyway, as discussed.
