Im warming up to him more and more as our 1st pick. Nfl radio seems to think he's the pick and I'd much rather have him over Poe or Blocker

    Only in a trade-down. He's a reach at #9.

I've been watching the tape on both (Brockers and Cox). I certainly think they're the top 2, but it's hard for me to say which one I like better. Cox seems to have the higher floor, but he also has a lower ceiling than Brockers. I think the odds of Cox being an outright bust are very low, just based on his size, athleticism and motor. Brockers seems to just have the beast mode though that could make him unstoppable at some point. I honestly wouldn't be upset with either at our 9 pick, but I do agree with Collin that if you can trade back with Seattle for instance, grab another pick, and ALSO grab one of these two, that would absolutely be preferable.

Not at 9. He wont be a BPA, we have a FA DT from last year on the books coming off an injury and two 3rd rd picks on the books and little money to get FAs. DT aint happening 1st round, the talent isnt there to warrant passing over better players. Another day another thread about a ham and egger DT to take us to the promised land.

we're good at the nose, but we still need a pass rush threat out of the middle of the line...a 3-technique like Cox would certainly be welcome
