    He put together a horrible team of overaged power forwards the year after the world realized the new NHL was about speed. 8-15 as coach this year, 38-39 last year.

    Saw this the other day, cracked me up:

    David LeNeveu, Phoenix Coyotes - LeNeveu's days with the Coyotes may be numbered, reports the Arizona Republic. Coach Wayne Gretzky pulled LeNeveu from his last start and then publicly criticized him for allowing three soft goals before suggesting that the team will explore trade opportunities with other teams for a more reliable backup. It's interesting that just last week or so we commented on how Gretzky overrated LeNeveu last season after a decent stretch, going so far as to say that he was the team's "goalie of the future". As it turns out, our assessment seemed right on the mark as Gretzky has quickly soured on the young goalie - who while decent doesn't seem to have the makeup of a #1 goalie.
