They're releasing Grier just as he's starting to look less horrible. I like Walker, though. If my team is forced to play a backup quarterback, I'd rather have the crappy gunslinger instead of the checkdown specialist.

Teckenburg has been signed by the stadium entrance to work as the left turnstile

But they are having to work at it as he has backed up 6 feet already

Does he at least get a practice squad spot? It feels like he played all of the preseason snaps.

Yep I am starting to have concerns about the the first few weeks. How is there going to be much cohesion with so many key players not even sniffing an actual game yet ???
Fuck, is it going to be yet another slow painful start

    No surprise there.

I seriously wonder how well Cameron Erving and Pat Elflein have done in practice. I'm real surprised that they're both starting.

Combining the "QB has to play better than he ever has" strategy with "left tackle has to play better than he ever has" is quite the gamble. Riverboat rhule?

I've watched the Steelers game in bits during nights when I'm not dehumanizing Phil. The offensive line looks even worse than people expect it to be. The starters got owned by Pittsburgh's 2nd team. It wasn't until the Steelers put in their third stringers/practice squad hopefuls that the offense started gaining any traction. That's a very bad projection into regular season football.

People being excited about Darnold's touchdown throw to Robby Anderson against PITTSBURGH'S THIRD STRING INSIDE LINEBACKER is hilarious. That's like a crowd going wild when a pro golfer makes a two foot par putt in the middle of his first round.
