Falcons | Koenen misses four field goals
    Sun, 17 Sep 2006 14:11:33 -0700

The Associated Press reports Atlanta Falcons PK Michael Koenen missed four field goals during the team's Week 2 game. All were from 40 yards and in. That might bring an end to the Falcons' plan to let him handle both the kicking and punting duties.

Bengals | C. Johnson bloodied and woozy
    Sun, 17 Sep 2006 16:47:19 -0700

The Associated Press reports Cleveland Browns S Brian Russell's high hit knocked off Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Johnson's helmet on the Bengals' final pass of their Week 2 game, leaving his white No. 85 jersey spotted with blood. Johnson had still had glassy eyes and several stitches just below his chin when he emerged from the trainer's room. He was too disoriented to conduct an interview. "I talked to Chad," QB Carson Palmer said. "He's a little loopy. He's a little out of it."

Well, Miami is another team struggling. Saw zero of the game, but the term I heard with Culpepper was "limping around."

Tampa looks legitmately worse than us. Chris Simms is certainly taking his next step, right out the door.

Broncoes struggled to win. Plummer was awful, and oops, where is the running game in Denver?

Yeah, but Im never one to let the fact that other teams' struggles make ours anyhow better. Fuck Tampa, fuck the Dolphins, and fuck all those other guys doing poorly. All I know is that the Falcons and Saints are 2-0, ATL is already vying to take the division, and we're 0-2.

The fact that those other guys are 0-2 doesnt make me feel any better.

Erasmus James and the freak out for the year

Vikings | James out for season with torn ACL
    Mon, 18 Sep 2006 12:49:10 -0700

Judd Zulgad, of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings DL Erasmus James (knee) is out for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. James will rehab the injury for about two weeks and then will undergo season-ending surgery on his knee. Head coach Brad Childress has not made it clear as to how James will be replaced. Rookie DL Ray Edwards may start at James' position of right end or the team could move DL Kenechi Udeze from left end to right end and start DL Darrion Scott at left end.
