Our running game is actually 10th in the league, which surprises me. I would not have thought it was that high. I guess the games against the Rams and Falcons are skewing the numbers a bit though. It has not been consistently good.

It just seems like we can never run it when we want to.

Balance is the key to offense. If you can not run very well usually you can not pass very well either. Vinny and Carr do not scare anyone so teams can play the run without as much fear of giving up a big pass play.

Vinny can throw the ball, and seems to be a pretty sound decision maker throwing. I think teams respect the pass from Vinny more than anyone else on our roster.

Probably so but that is not saying a whole lot. He has not made anyone pay with a deep pass except that once against the Cards.

We're 10th in the league in rushing yardage...last year at this time, we were about 28th. I don't care who the opponents are, or how the stats balance out, that's a pretty significant improvement. As for the zone blocking scheme, we don't even use it all the time. Alot of these running plays are the same as last year, they're just executing a little better.

There's your problem, little lady. We ran for even more yards against St. Louis and Atlanta last year than we did this one, but we played them late in the season. If you take the Rams & Falcons, then add DeAngelo's 75 yard run against Arizona, you get roughly half of our rushing yardage total for the season. Now by no means does that make the running game our biggest problem. We've got bigger, certainly, but it remains an issue. We're going to struggle with our offensive identity year after year until we can get back to running the ball as consistently as we did in 2003.

Fantasy Football has ruined you. You're too busy looking at this with stats, yardage, figures and shit. Don't you know it's a human game and only emotion, passion and subjective thoughts count in this argument? Get a clue dude.

Carr can't be a good QB because he doesn't have "it". Vinny has "it". Vinnys a born leader. That's why when Carr dumps off a 6 yard pass to the TE, its desperation. When Vinny does it, its moving the chains...its the human aspect of it, man. When Delhomme dumps it underneath cause Houston is taking away the deep routes, he's slyly taking what Houston gives him. When Carr does it, he's afraid to go downfield. Quit trying to apply logic and reason to your statements!
