It seems that every week (especially the road games), I start watching our game hoping for a solid performance and a win. Yet, in the second half I am always thinking: "well, we are playing like crap and are lucky to be in this one, hopefully we can just get an ugly W and perform more solid next week." When are we going to pull it together and play without so many mistakes on the road. Anyone else have this feeling?

It still beats losing multiple games in a row at the beginning of the season. If they have a strong 2nd half of the season like they normally do then these ugly wins will look alot better at the end of the year.

Maybe the bye week will give us time to get everything in order. It would be nice to pull off 2 or 3 more in a row so we can get our minds focused on home field, rather than sitting here calculating who has to do what for us the get a wildcard in week 17.

Really, I think this is a common feeling for most NFL fans. Think Atlanta fans are thrilled with their team's performance vs. NO? Pats fans right now have the injury bug to complain about, like we did last year. Philly fans have to wonder about the Eagles ups and downs. Every team with a loss has had that feeling or something similar at least once this year. And even Indy fans need to be concerned about their formerly-prolific offense not seeming to click this year.

I was as frustrated as anyone with yesterday's game, but I don't think it's unique to the Panthers.

Agreed. Road games are tough in the NFL, and we just aren't good enough to dominate people, so any mistakes we make are going to put the game in jeopardy.

The sad part of all this is our only quality win.....New England......is not nearly as impressive as we first thought.....with everyone rocking them now and all.

So, basically we have won all the games we should have won, except the New Orleans game and we have played like pure shit in most of the games, but still won.....I'll take it....fuck it....I don't care how we reach the playoffs as long as we advance to the Superbowl.....I just hope we split with Tampa and I think we are in....Atlanta will sweep us as usual.....hopefully Atlanta will lose to Dallas at home in the playoffs and we can beat one of the shitty north teams in the wildcard game.....then we can kick the shit out of Dallas as usual and move on to Philly.

    Damn I'm a good dreamer.

I'll be happy just to have a winning record. Advancing to the Superbowl is not even in my thought process of this team.

I wouldn't necessarily say that. They're 3-3, and the only "gimme" games (from their point of view) on their schedule were OAK in week 1 and maybe us in week 2. They beat PIT in Pittsburgh, beat ATL in Atlanta, and lost to San Diego at home (the loss of Rodney Harrison had a lot to do with that, IMO) and just lost to DEN in Denver. San Diego, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and Denver are seriously good teams. Not unbeatable, but very good. A lot better than we are at the moment. All that to say, I still think beating NE is a quality win.
