ESPN is riding Vick's jock again!!

You know I have nothing against the Falcons. Its always nice to see a team, that for years was less than mediocre, pull itself up to become "average". But I now hate Vick, I have never wanted someone to be a bust as bad as I want him to. I am by no means racist, but it seems that the media wants a black QB to become one of the "greats". As soon as one gets good, the hype starts flying like RPG's in Iraq. They tried to do it with McNabb, after 3 chokes though his star is fading, now its Vicks turn. Why they can't wait for one of these guys to become a Favre, or Marino, and then hype them is beyond me. I guess what I'm saying is don't force feed me a "star" let their play determine if they are actually worthy of the title first.

Even if it completely wrong? McNabb hasn't choked, he just needs more talent around him especiallyt defensively, getting TO will help, and now he needs a RB as well, so we'll see how it pans out. McNabb can't do everything by himself.

They're best chance probably was 2002, but they still needed a decent WR. But as long as as Andy Reid has that expensive cheesesteak budget, the Eagles, because of their inability to meet their needs, will probably continue to be 1 step away from the SB.
BTW, what the hell was Andy Reid Smoking when he picked Shawn Andrews.

 

Finally we agree thier talent evaluation, and FA aquisition just plain sucks. BTW if you are looking for the first black HOF QB, I think hes playing in Jax.
