    15 - Michael Waltrip.........1827 -423 16 1 0 3 7 $2,260,090
    18 - Dale Earnhardt Jr...... 1707 -543 16 0 0 3 5 $2,873,510

    Waltrip isnt that much better...
    120 points difference..
thats equal to 1 bad race ... both have 3 top 5's Waltrip has 7 top 10's Jr has 5 top 10's
Jr. has $600,000 more in earnings..
Waltrip is 23 points out of the Chase
Jr is 143 points out.. couple of good finishes and the leaders have some bad luck and he is right there in the Chase.

Rationalization doesn't make it any better. It's just fucking cars going in a circle, there's no reason to want people to die.

I think it's safe to say that DEI has cars competitive enough to stay in the chase. Jr's having some problems this year keeping his damn head in the game, seems like.

I have nothing aginst Jr, and happen to think he is a pretty good driver who is stuck with a crappy crew. The Eury's are the key to any real success that goes on at DEI.

As for Jr going to RCR... There have been no talk of that happening. Just rumors. I read an interview with Dale and he stated that he would like to drive the No. 3 car one day before he retires, and if it happens to be with RCR, then so be it. And I also read that Budweiser will invest their money into Jr, regardless of what team he races for.

Of course all this info coming from a Jimmie Johnson fan might not mean anything. Just my :twocents:
