Diggle - you listen to 610? Is that where you got that Fred Ex crap? I can't fucking stand Howard Eskin. Biggest fucking moron I have ever seen or heard in the media. And thats counting Rush Limbaugh.

I just moved to the Philadelphia area a couple of years ago for a job after living in NC and then New England most of my life. Philly has been by far the worst stop on the tour. Where you guys got the "City of Brotherly Love" moniker, I'll never know. I have never seen a population of ruder, more irritable folks in all my life. The poster who earlier commented on Philly's "beauty" earlier was dead on. I have been to almost every major city in the US (LA, NY, Philly, Chicago, etc), and I have never seen nearly as many dead burnt out hulks of buildings everywhere you turn. Outside of historic Center City, Philly is a garbage town. Coming from the green pastures and blue skies of the Carolina countryside, Philadelphia is a disgusting place to live.

Biggest thing I envy about Philadelphia is the passion the people here have for the Eagles. I remember the Panthers 1-15 season, and finding the true blue Panthers fans out in the street was a difficult thing indeed. The peeps here at TBR were still behind em, but I think we were the exception rather than the rule. I am pretty confident that if the same had happened to the Eagles, there would be much screaming and bitching, but these folks would not abandon their team under any circumstances. The Eagles fans here have indeed endured some really bad seasons, and they have a right to be proud and cocky. They been there for the good and the bad. I applaud that kind of die-hard loyalty, and look forward to the day when Carolina builds up that kind of fan-base.

With regard to the game: I think Carolina will win. I think we already beat the best team in the NFC in the Rams. Just analyzing the Eagles vs the Rams, the Rams have a much more explsive offense, and similarly styled bltizing defense. We beat the Rams in a louder stadium (domes are by nature louder than open arenas), so I think we should definately be able to handle the Birds.

    Go Panthers!!

I think it is not very fair to compare the 9 year old Carolina Panthers to the 70 year old Philadelphia Eagles (79 if you include the Frankford PA Yellow Jackets). From 1933 to 1943 the Eagles failed to have a winning season and made a deal with the National Recovery Administration to have idle government workers attend games so that at least someone would be in the stands.

7 decades later there are generations of Eagles fans who know nothing else. Talk to me about the Panthers in say 2060 lets see how the fan base is...Of course winning a SB speeds up the process!

Well, I guess I can get in on the converstion. In the 5 loses the Panthers had weren't they pretty much vs moblie QB's. McNabb, Vick, McNair, and Carter, and maybe somebody can refresh me on that lose to the Texans. I know Carr wasn't in there, but I can't remember much else other than the Panthers got beat. If Troy Vincent is healthy then the Eagles will be able to do so much more with Dawk. Taylor and Vincent can play with Muhammed and Smith. Dawkins can be used in run support or in more blitz situations. The Panthers will be able to run the ball, but that is no surprise, hell everybody has ran the ball vs Eagles. The key is to cross that goal line in the red zone. The Panthers have struggled with it and the Eagles have done a good job of stopping teams there. If the Panthers score TD's in the first game, Kasey doesn't matter and the Panthers win, but the first game doesn't matter. This is a new game, new place, and it's the freaking playoffs. The Packers had 8 sacks vs the Eagles, and yet DMac still threw for 250 and ran for another 100. You would think with that kind of pressure they would have at least slowed him down. This is going to be a great game for sure. Eagles-24 Panthers-21

I don't have time for this silly shit. The one somewhat insightful post he posted, sounded like he read a TSN breakdown and came over to reword it to sound smart.
Dawk is pretty good. He's not that great. Don't carve a bronze bust for him just yet there, slappy.
