So now trash talk extends to other teams and other games. Your media and fans are drama queens to say the least.

boy you got him on the ropes now...again questioning the sexuaity of our mascot. again not responding to something you said you would. insuly VBulletin. then bring up a game where we left 10 points on the board because of nothing your team did. and all I can say is that if the Eagles need a comment from Fox to get fired up about this game then there is your reason you are the amazing choke artists.

Hello Kettle It's me... you know... me Pot. Just wanted to let you know... you're black.

Funny that's a misquote rewritten by someone in the media... the actual quote was. "If we beat St. Louis and if Green Bay beats Philly. That means we will host the NFC Championship here in Carolina."

But whatever makes you guys feel better... but notice there's nowhere in EITHER quote that badmouths Philly... see the problem is Philly is doing its DAMNEDEST to find ways totry to get something outta here badmouthing them... they've got NOTHING... awww

In 1997 the Philadelphia Inquirer picked Tampa Bay to beat the Panthers. the Panthers went on to shut TB out....this is a slap in the face

    >>Fox dropped the ball with this one. Never say something this stupid.

What Fox said was common sense. You wanted home field advantage, and so did we. You can make a mountain out of it, but those words still stand. There's nothing wrong with wanting a home playoff game, since we rocked in ours.

    >>I'm calling you a homer in the sense that you are so far removed from understanding how good this Eagles team is and so deep into being a Panthers fan.

Again, you're out of touch. You seem to think that you being a fan makes you more knowledgeable about the team - I seem to think that it means you watched more Philadelphia games this year than me, and nothing more. You might have a little better working knowledge of a couple nuances, of which it seems you're not talented enough to be able to work with. I've studied this offense, I've seen some of the inner workings of the generic WCO playbook, I know for a fact that Andy Reid's playbook is Mike Holmgren's playbook Shanahan's playboook is George Seifert's playbook is Bill Walsh's playbook is Denny Green's playbook is Paul Hackett's playbook is Bill Musgrave's playbook is Mike Tice's playbook, and on, and on, and fucking on. This is verifiable. I know players who have traveled from one WCO team to another and noted this to me. I know coaches who deal in the trading of football information for purposes of helping college coaches who verify this with the fucking playbooks in their hands.

it's the same playbook. Recently, Reid himself was noted in an interview to say that it's the same terminology, and therefore they have to change up the audible calls because it's more practical to do so.
So having scouted McNabb in college, having followed him for years, knowing your personnel, knowing your team's tendencies, and knowing how Reid likes to call a game in general form, yes, dammit, I know your team better than you do. I know this offense better than you know yourself.

    >>Does it make you feel like a man to be the man of football knowledge on a freakin Panthers message board?

I don't need a message board, football knowledge, or anything else for me to be a man. But if that's your criteria, then you obviously come in a lot, you know, 'shorter'.
Especially since you can't face up to any of what I said. But I never expected you to do so.

and, finally, I'm not trying to insult you. I am insulting you. If you're smart enough not to take it to heart, then I applaud you. I don't have anything personally against you, but if you're going to talk game, don't puss out and waste my damn time with pattycake bullshit. If you do pretend to know more, you can certainly take a second to pretend to answer my football statements and questions. Till then, I'm gonna make fun of you and your weak ass dodging.

ummm, I actually heard what Fox said on 'sounds of the game' in a press conference, and have it on tape. The 'quotes' in the 'locker room' whiteboard have left out an important word. Two words, in fact, but the same word twice. It is a very small, but powerful word that changes the total context inwhich it appears in most sentences if left out, OR put in, whichever would be applicable to make something completely different than what was meant or said.

    That word would be "if".
I heard it, I saw it, I've got the tape to prove it.

If the Philly media, or coaches, or whoever thought it neccessary to write that on their whiteboard as some kinda motivation- then that's an awful testament to the supposed great 'heart' of a Philly team. They should need to write nothing more than something to the effect of:

    "2X lost, 3X, in 3 years, and you're a choker"

What other motivation do you need other than the game's for a SB berth? Sad. Pathetic. Doesn't surprise me in the least tho, their 'media' is to reality compares to that of the Nat'l Enquirer.

Actually shows a sign of weekness that you would have to actually falsify a statement from a classy, respectable coach, who has many times since Sat praised Philly players, coaches, and even *cough* fans to the media- over and over.

Funny too, that he directed anything at Mags, especially about being a 'homer'. After all, he the one who most calls out other actual Panther fans who shows any evidence of being a 'homer'.

I've alway liked Mags style, and even when I might dissagree with his assessment, his presence of mind in his posts and usage of good 'logic' and 'knowledge of facts' make good arguments most times supporting his case, can make you look at his point of view convincingly.

Anyway, keep it up Diggle. Your'e diggling your hole awful deep!
    It's good enternainment.

I try not to call out people specifically for being a homer. I just don't like defense of something - Henning, for instance - to be devoid of backing. Have a reason to say something that defends him.
Either way, I stand behind what I say and try to put something behind what I say. I'd rather be wrong with reason than luck into being right.

Of course, I usually don't get like this in an argument, either. Even in my most deep stupidity with Sandy, the most I'd call him was a liar, and that was more of a provable opinion than an insult.
This is more like I'm channeling Collin.

damn mvm...that was some good place-putting. didn't know you had it in you. liked the steven hawkings reference.

diggle...mags is so not a homer. i've wondered many times this season if the guy secretly hates the panthers and just doesn't know how to verbalize it.
