Hollis Thomas. Pretty funny guy, but probably past the prime.

Apparently we'll know Monday, if not today if Edwards needs surgery. I think we're just delaying the inevitable.

Stroud and Williams used to be good, not sure if they have anything left. Might should have hung on to Derek Landri.

We need a specific type of DT. We need a big 310+ run stuffer that can keep G's and C's off our LB's.
Jamal Williams might have somthing left and he's a FA. A guy like Pat Sims in Cincy might be trade bait.

Has Rivera said anything about using a two-gap system here?

Not that I can find or recall, no. I know he personally told us (my question, again, at camp) that he was wants his LB's to be able to run downhill and make plays. Question was about Edwards (pre-injury) and what his "width" in the middle provides for the 'backers.

I didn't see anyone from ESPN asking that question.

FWIW, Fua has practiced hard and looked like a good fit for that spot. I don't know if we "need" to run out and rent a Jamal Williams. Panic move.

yeah, the feeling seems to be that they'll wait on NT and CB. CB will probably be the one to require the attention. I feel better about Fua and Neblett.

This Gamble story is a mystery. Rivera has been candid about a lot of topics, but he is very reserved about Gamble questions. Hurney won't even discuss it.

None of the beat guys seem to know the real story.

"Stomach Illness" was the word from the team yesterday. Been one hell of a bug.

Chevis Jackson can do what he does on S/T, but I don't think anyone has any illusions that he's a starter. I will say, again, Cletis Gordon is someone that Rivera likes. Enough to give him a ton of reps at camp.

    He doesn't look bad.
