Just switched the whole office from DSL to cable-Comcast. Minor start up glitches but overall I am happy. Faster too.

    my personal experience is:

cable residential: goes out pretty much hourly for a few minutes
cable commercial: goes hout for a few mintues every day
dsl commercial: 3 times in a year in a half it has gone out for about 2 hours

cable slows down noticably in the afternoons when kids get out of school

Another thing is that if I stick with DSL I don't have to put it in my name. I just pay the owner.

Wow. Haven't had my cable at home drop in ages (that I'm aware of at least), but the DSL modem at work has to be reset a lot.

i've had cable going on nine years now at 5 different places, some old and some new. I've probaby lost service 5 times total.

i was at the old salem village.

i've heard both sides of the argument, but i've used other peoples dsl and cable seems to be a good bit faster.

    dsl sucks

one thing that helps though, is separating the lines... leaving only the two you need for that use

that way you eliminate the need for filters

How so? I realize it doesn't have as high of a potential throughput but when I had cable I never realized that potential ever.

Maybe I've had unusually bad luck with cable and unusually good luck with DSL. I'd never consider getting cable again until my experience changes.
