I respect the hell out of Smitty for wanting to do punts, but if he feels like he has to slide to protect himself, he shouldn't be fielding them. Yes, I do feel like he's being a pussy if he's sliding to avoid contact.

We are pretty deseperate for a number two receiver to step up. If I had known that Colbert was going to flop like he has then I might have been in favor of overpaying to keep Moose. I wonder if we can get a devent veteran free agent in the offseason. I would rather do that than draft someone.

The media is just getting to be awful:
Are the people who are saying he's going to be one of Carolina's main weapons for the rest of the year the same as the panthers?

Or are the people saying this the same media mouths who jump on the first banwagon every day that rides by because they are so desperate to talk/write about something? Sheesh.

Seems to me, we don't really need to be desperate at this point being in 1st in our division and being 10-4 without somebody stepping up. After all, somebody stepping up would make us a beast on O, not revive us from the desperate depths of dispair.

I'm pretty desperate for someone to step up, actually. I don't care who it is. We can't run the ball enough for us to dominate anyone in the playoffs, but with enough passing help, we could get by.
