    It is about time they settled that. It is not like there was any question as to whether he was an elite QB. With all the trouble that team is facing they really need Brees back and happy.

    40 mil in first year of deal between salary and variety of bonus's. Holy cow that's a lot of money

    That is the downside to rookie contracts being shorter and cheaper. They're going to want to rape the Panthers on the next one.

    Ehh, you pay a superstar in any sport. If Cam puts up three more years comparable to last year then pay him what it takes to keep him.
