    meh...just learn html
Dreamweaver drives me crazy trying to align tables and such, it takes me twice as much time as it does in a text editor.

You might have an automatic html editing feature on your computer. Probably oversimplified but, just layout your page(s) and hit "edit" and voila you got it in html.

I advised against it sort of in my earlier post but if you are taking a class and really want to learn Dreamweaver go for it. Its just hard for me to use when I already know how to write html. I suppose it would be differant if you are starting from scratch and have someone who really knows how to use it teaching you.

    yep.

i have yet to tackle dreamweaver, but swishmax and swift3d are very user-friendly and deal with dimensional layouts, not cell patterns. so that makes it much easier.

I taught myself Dreamweaver pretty quickly. I've been using Photoshop and several other similar programs for years though.

If you have any background with graphics software - it will be a breeze. I picked up a guidebook for Dreamweaver but never even opened it - it was that easy.
