Funny how you never said so in that actual thread, or at any point prior to this one. I also enjoy how you blatantly lied when you said " No one wanted to trade for Williams."

No, I pointed out that Hurney did that with Peppers when you idiotically insisted that "the Hurney move" would have been trading for Mario when Hurney never did anything like that. You've gone off the deep end, magnus. You've completely lost control of your emotions and are raving like a lunatic, lying constantly and making statements that bear no resemblance to reality. It's kind of sad.

Yes, by the end you were resigned to the idea that they were taking Coples. You also made it very, very clear that you were totally against that and had bashed Coples constantly for months. I can post a hundred quotes from you being against drafting Coples, so stop with the lies about you being fine with it.

CJ & Hardy are both around that 65-70% mark this season, so it seems fair to argue that they do better with more rest. Regardless, it was asinine of you to pretend that adding another DE somehow would have meant that Hardy wouldn't play it all. It seems like you can't even get past two or three sentences without another lie.

Why would you use the word "tech" if you meant "gap'? The reality is that you said the wrong thing, but you can't admit even a simple mistake because you're dishonest and have no integrity. And for the record, Lotulelei obviously should be a one-gap player as well, so even saying I'd be opposed to that doesn't make any sense. You lied and you got caught. For once in your life, act like a man and accept responsibility for your actions.

I already answered it, which you would have acknowledged if you weren't so rabidly dishonest: "And if they were able to get Lotulelei then of course that would make Dwan Edwards expendable, although I'd prefer to get something for him in a trade if possible."

More lies. You said it right here: http://www.thisboardrocks.com/forum/f19/draft-order-184982/index4.html#post2735627

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy humiliating you in post after post because it highlights just what exactly is wrong with you both as an intellect and as a human being, but it's becoming pointless at this point. Every post you make includes 2-5 more lies, and everyone including yourself already knows how much you've lost control of yourself. There is nothing left to be gained through your further embarrassment, so take a couple of days to collect yourself and try to make a coherent post reflecting this reality.

It's weird that you are so desperate to suck up to magnus when he's a comical shell of his former self who loses control emotionally and starts lying constantly whenever I confront him. Mario remains one of the best DEs in the game, and if you actually watch the Panthers then you already know how much better this defense looks with consistent pressure as opposed to the games where the DEs disappear. Instead we have a guy who plays exactly the same position as another player already on a huge contract, so how smart was that?

I noted that Hurney's mismanagement of the cap made such a possibility unlikely, but realize that Greg Hardy is going to necessitate a big new contract soon. So either you'll be paying a lot to keep him or you're looking for a new starter anyway.

Both Hardy and Edwards are having years that are far better than anything they've done before. Maybe one or both will keep it up, but maybe neither will. The point I keep making is that it's gigantically hypocritical to act like Hardy has proven himself based on one season of stats while Dwan Edwards hasn't. Frankly, neither have. Long-term draft and contract decisions shouldn't be based on eight game stretches.

Stop it, you're embarrassing yourself. You have your nose buried so far up magnus' ass that you're inhaling what he had for breakfast. Aside from a few pass deflections early in the year, Alexander has shown absolutely nothing. Frankly, he hasn't been as good as Thomas Keiser was last season (can't figure out why he isn't playing this season).

Funny how constant trolling from you about the DE position came from a terrible idea like "hey, let's trade a 9 overall for a pending free agent." I mean, it's amazing the enduring argument in the face of good end play, and comparing it to pretty shitty (to occasionally effective enough) tackle play.

He's never traded future picks? He's never overspent on defensive end?

These are two things you've complained about a good deal, and they're what they based them on. This trade would've been both -- it would also be stupid. I get the urge to fight a Hurney comparison on your behalf - and changing the conversation is really the only way you can discuss something - but I feel confident in why I said it was the Hurney move to make.

Correct. So you were wrong. And yeah, I had reservations, I said that in what you quoted, but I did also suggest why he'd work well in this defense and why that'd be a good thing. My reservations so far have materialized, to a point. I'm sure he'd have done allright here, but I don't know he'd have started, and I don't want a 9 pick riding the bench.

You'd also have to recognize, of course, since you pretend to be the arbiter of truth, that I had major reservations about Kuechly as well.

I said he would have limited effectiveness playing only the amount of snaps of a backup end and occasional tackle. And I stand behind that. He wouldn't have 8 sacks as a reserve behind an end who should be playing at least 80+% of snaps, or this convoluted idea that he'd

I admitted my mistake, though since I've already done that I'm again mistaken. I did mean nose v/s 3, but I tend to have to break these stupid arguments up between other tasks because I do have other things going. But I owned that mistake, and I tend to do that. I don't, however, say whatever it is you demand I say, and go fuck yourself.

So, those end up in two different words - a world where we do keep Dwan, and a world we don't. So it would be very disingenuous to say "we don't need an end anymore than we need a tackle because of this guy who doesn't fit in the plans of the one guy I've most wanted to draft."

also, no one's going to trade for Dwan Edwards. He has never really had that value. Sure, Gross and Gamble might - they won't actually be traded - but it makes sense to say "I'd keep them unless a good trade came along", because they have an inherent value that requires effort to replace. Suggesting a Dwan Edwards trade seems like a rookie mistake, and if I'm misconstruing that by any measure let me know because there's no real value there. He's done fine but either you really overvalue him because of this argument, or just overvalue him in general.

link doesn't go where you think it does, I don't think. I also don't think I ever said anything like "Collin, you don't want to draft a defensive tackle." I've attacked the rationale that lets you suggest that the two positions are equal, because that rationale is poor.

It never had a point, it was just you telling yourself what you want. I can namecall all day and call plenty of things massive lies, or tell you what's wrong with you. It won't have shit to do with anything, no more than you doing all of this excessive bullshit to take it out on somebody else that you're upset.

Let it go. It's embarrassing to see you act like trading for Mario Williams would have been "disastrous" and "a terrible idea" when I linked the very thread where we discussed it and you weren't even against it. You only magically made this huge change of opinion in this thread, and that's only because you want to pretend that I said something bad since you feel like you've been humiliated in this argument, which you have been. Here is what you actually wrote: http://www.thisboardrocks.com/forum/f19/no-dl-worth-8-9-pick-181419/index2.html#post2689042

I can't remember him ever trading a first round pick for a star player, no. Again, you said something wrong, so everything since then has been you trying to invent excuses instead of acting like a man and owning your mistake.

It's funny how you keep insisting that I'm somehow "changing the conversation" when I'm doing the exact opposite. I keep nailing you on everything you say, because with every post you include more idiocy and more lies. I'm addressing every point repeatedly because it's fun to watch you try to think up ways to explain away your screw-ups.

Wow, you're going to pretend that I was wrong instead of you and hope that no one notices? You claimed in this thread that you weren't against drafting Coples, but there are numerous quotes proving that you were adamantly against it. You believing the team would do it and you being in favor of the team doing it are two extremely different things.

Show me a link where you said anything of the sort.

For once in your life could you please grow a pair and stop lying? You are such a coward. On post 59 of this thread you claimed that Hardy would get "almost no playing time" in a scenario where the team traded for Mario. That was a ridiculous statement for you to make, which is why you're now pretending that you said something entirely different, but I have your own quote to throw back in your face. This is why I constantly humiliate you in these arguments, because I can use your own words against you.

You're pretending that it was an honest mistake instead of lie. "3 tech" is what you posted, and that's the complete opposite position for a defensive tackle than the nose. And again, I think Lotulelei would be fine as a 4-3 nose, I just don't like him there in a 3-4. 4-3 under is where he could do the most damage, though.

lol, nobody believes that. Neither of us posts these huge responses for days on end while having a lot else going on.

You try to ignore it because it contradicts your narrative where DT is awful and DE is fine, but Dwan is tied for fourth in sacks among DTs. Now I'm certainly not going to suggest that he'd bring a big haul in the trade market, but this season has unquestionably raised his value just as it has raised Hardy's.

Yes, that link takes you to the posts where you said exactly that. You posted: "Tell me more about that. When you want to get under the cap, Dwan isn't at all in your plans (he appeared to not come up until I actually showed you amounts like "how much the 2013 cap will be"), but otherwise, a 32 year old DT is, potentially just for this conversation, somehow a cornerstone that means we don't have to have a DT. " Then when I pointed out that you lied about what I said, since I was the first one to bring up Lotulelei on this board last year, you then lied yet again and said that I had only mentioned him "being drafted in one conversation."

That's the thing, magnus. It's not like you made one honest mistake. I've busted you with over ten different lies in just this thread alone. You're constantly lying about what I've posted and what you've posted because you feel like you're being humiliated and you're extremely defensive, all without being able to come up with any other response than to pretend the two of us said things we absolutely never did. That's why you lie about liking Coples when I have numerous quotes showing you being strongly against drafting him, and why you lie about everyone besides me being against trading for Mario when not even you were against it in that discussion. You keep lying because you're lashing out since you've lost control of yourself and can't think of any other way to get out of this embarrassment.

    Correct.
And it's a ridiculous idea. If you don't want to buy that it was then, take solace that it absolutely is now, too.

See, I didn't ask about trading a first round pick for a star player, did I? OMGLIAR!!!!! The thing is, if I wanted to play that stupid game, it's there. You always ignore it, I guess because you're that much more virtuous or something.

He traded a shitload of picks. He traded future picks for ends. I'm sorry that there isn't a specific situation where Marty Hurney did the specific thing of trading for a (not actually) franchised DE in exchange for the exact 9 pick. It's still stupid to do that, though, and it'd be Marty Hurney levels of stupid.

Oh - you constantly do it. The Hurney thing is just one. Paul's quote is another - you can't simply talk to people with their interests in mind. You may feel like people asking you questions is only a way of getting them to listen to what you want to say, or maybe interaction hasn't ever really gotten past that.

I said I had reservations. And yet, he was who I expected, and honestly, who I wanted, lacking the adequate options at DT, CB, as I've said so many times.

http://www.thisboardrocks.com/forum/2687095-post8.htmlfirst one I found, like it or not. I'm not putting all night into this. Feel free, if you want, though.
Correct. And I'm saying that. Under 20% of snaps isn't good enough, and it's damn sure not enough to get anywhere near the production he's gotten. You infer that bringing Williams would rapidly upgrade. I did believe that, and I don't know.

Which is what makes it a mistake. Put the correction of nose in there, and it makes sense. I completely agree it doesn't the way it was written.
because clearly you know what I have going on. I know you like projecting your issues on me, but seriously.

He would have no trade value. And Dwan has rushed the passer allright, but he's terrible against the run. Being decent situationally at DT at 33 next year doesn't endear him to anything. It's absolutely not the same thing has having two fullsized DEs in the top 10 for all DL in sacks. Put CJ/Hardy on the market together versus Edwards and see how that goes. Take a poll of whether people in general feel more secure about the future at DE or DT, even with Hardy and both Edwards gone (which is entirely possible within a year).

I noted I was wrong about your statement about Lotuleilei. Of course, all of this is fantastic window dressing to cover up that you tout Dwan as a reason DT isn't a greater need, and yet you're OK with replacing him out of hand, in a different thread.

I really haven't lost control. I do make mistakes - and addressing something while I'm taking care of my family or anything else, that takes precedent. Other than being baited into your constant obsessions about me, or recently defensive end, the idea I'm "humiliated" or "embarrassed" - much less out of control (you know, the type of lack of control that would cause a person to make massive generalizations, or try to file away every word a person has said for a decade). It really doesn't get my full attention, and honestly I enjoy it better that way.

Because, in the end, no matter how much you bellow about how you have hated me a third of your life or whatever hilarious nonsense you're talking at that point as warmed over nonsense, you can't change that we're in better shape at end, or that the Mario Williams trade is a sticky situation for you at best - and that it would've been a massive failure in hindsight, negating one of the few positives of this season so far. Play your shell games, pretend I'm some sort of terrible person, but you really can't change those things.

LOL...you nadchompers just need to get married and fuss behind closed doors like everyone else. And when you get bored with arguing about shit that just doesn't matter, one of you can give the other a reach-around, which will make the sun come out in the morning.

    Geez.

Dude, I've already linked to your own posts in that thread. You weren't even against trading for Mario Williams, but now you want to pretend it was an awful idea. You have completely lost control of yourself and your mind, which is why you're constantly lying not only about what I've said but what you said and what others said as well. It is embarrassing and you need to stop. Take a break, get control of yourself, and start making posts that have something to do with reality.

[IMG] The "Hurney move" is obviously something Marty actually did, which was to let a star DE walk for nothing. He never at any point traded a first round pick for an established star. You noted in the original thread that it wasn't a Marty Hurney thing to do that, but now you want to insist the opposite. You have lost control of yourself.

Sure I can. In all the years, how many times did I fight with Wp28? Piper? hasbeen? Those guys aren't dishonest like you are.

Ok, here comes an avalanche of quotes proving what a liar you are. Prepare yourself.

So how's that for whooping your ass and proving you to be the liar you are? Now have the decency to stop posting because you're wasting my time.

...and so he huffed and puffed, and pointed fingers, but he couldn't make trading a
9 pick for a pending free agent a good idea, and he couldn't escape being
emotionally attached to an upgrade at the team's statistically strongest position.
No matter how many word games or semantic arguments he put in, and no matter how
many times he thought disparaging the other guy somehow made him look more in
control of himself. So he huffed, and puffed, and blew himself over with his own
    hot air.
