Heh, he's an interesting prospect but I think that unlike Manny Lawson, Wimbley is probably too bulky to play 4-3 SLB. Then again, if David Pollack made the transition then I guess we can't rule it out.

At 27 I think theres too much there to pass.

Eh...its not like it matters. It'll be Joseph or Bing. I like them both, and depending on whos left, I will be very, very happy with Joseph.

edit: As for WImbley, I wouldnt even mind if he was primarily used as a rush specialist. Someone who could play both end and linebacker. We've seen that its not the end of the world if a first rounder gets in on certain plays.

I will say I am a bit disappointed that I lost out on our bet with Davis. I was fucking certain he'd play at least 70% of the plays, and would become our starting SS for the year. Ah well.

Eh, not a real bet. Just an "Id bet you that Davis doesnt play such and such amount of time" thing.

So who would he replace in our lineup -- Ken Lucas (big $ free agent) or Chris Gamble (1st round draft pick)? Or are you suggesting the franchise spend a 1st round draft pick on a nickel?

ANd actually, Id be fucking happy with both. And yeah, I wouldnt bust a gut if our franchise spent a 1st round pick on a nickel in today's game, although one of those corners would. Would you suggest it wouldnt improve our secondary in a big fucking way???

I could see it if our division were more pass-oriented, but it isn't.
