I think all of us would like to see us throw to a TE more than we do but it ain't gonna happen in this system. Wiggins wanted to catch some balls and left because it wasn't happening here. Heath Miller would be an excellent addition but using a first round pick on him for a blocker is not good value and is a waste of his talent. I am actually leaning toward RB in the first considering the miles on Davis and Foster being fragile.

    Lets the Bowls begin.

The following notes are from gbnreport.com

Champs Sports Bowl; Syracuse versus Georgia Tech; 7:45 PM ET; ESPN

The 2004-2005 bowl season kicks into high gear late tonight when Syracuse plays Georgia Tech in the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando. Syracuse could be a major factor at this year's draft with a number of interesting prospects. Georgia Tech also will have a say, although for the most part the Yellow Jackets' best players are underclassmen.

Syracuse, in particular, has a couple of players who have made big moves up draft boards across the NFL in recent weeks. Massive OT Adam Terry (#78, 6-8, 315), for example, is a big tackle with very good feet who has elevated his draft ranking to near mid-second round grade. Terry anchors an offensive line that also includes rugged C Matt Tarullo (#75, 6-4, 325), another strong run-blocker who has seen playing time at OT during his career. The Orange also have an emerging star in SS Diamond Ferri, a converted RB who had over 220 tackles and 6 interceptions the past couple of years after moving over from the offense. Ferri, though, is a bit of an odd size for the position, although there isn't anything odd about his natural aggression and instincts. Ferri combines with junior FS Anthony Smith (6-0, 185) to give the Orange a decent safety pairing. The Champs Bowl will also be a last chance for Orange RB Walter Reyes (#39, 5-10, 210), who came into the season looking to establish himself as one of the top backs taken at the 2005 draft after he ran for 1,350 yards in 2003; Reyes battled a string of injuries this fall which caused his output to drop to just 800 yards this fall as he seldom looked explosive. Indeed, Reyes was generally outplayed by junior RB Damien Rhoades (#1, 6-1, 210) much of the year.

As mentioned above, many of Georgia Tech's best players are juniors, however, Yellow Jackets do feature one of the better safeties in this year's draft class in FS James Butler (#22, 6-2, 210). Butler is a good all-around DB who could figure in the mix in the latter part of this year's opening day. The Yellow Jackets, also have a couple of juniors with 2005 draft potential including DE Eric Henderson (#56, 6-3, 265), a disruptive force coming off the edge, and LB Gerris Wilkerson (#49, 6-2, 230). Meanwhile, veteran OT Kyle Wallace (#77, 6-5, 295) and OG Andy Tidwell-Neal (#65, 6-4, 315) head a solid offense.

I've kinda liked Tidwell-Neal for a while, even though he or his dad are pussy-whipped.

That RB from Tech will be one to watch next year.

That game was like watching paint dry!

Aftre doing some preliminary scouting we could see some impact role players out of this draft. I still don't see much along the lines of bluechip players. Honestly, there aren't really any that I could put in that catagory.

Here are some guys the Panthers should be looking at day one:

    1st:
OT - Jamaal Brown, OU/Marcus McNeill, (jr) Auburn
OG - Elton Brown, Virginia/David Bass, Michigan
    LB - Kevin Burnett, Tenn
FS - Tomas Davis, Georgia/Brodney Pool, OU
    WR - Mark Clayton, OU

    2nd:
OT - Chris Colmer, NC State/Rob Pettiti, Pitt/Adam Terry, Syracuse
OG - CJ Brooks, Maryland/Marcus Johnson, Mississippi
WR - Roddy White, UAB/Vincent Jackson, N. Colorado
    TE - Kevin Everett, Miami
    QB - Dan Orlovsky, UConn
LB - Kirk Morrison, San Diego St./Michael Boley, Southern Miss

    3rd:
    QB - David Green, Georgia
RB - Cedric Houston, Tenn/Kay-Jay Harris, West Va/Lionel Gates, Louisville
TE - Joel Dreessen, Colorado St
    WR - Geoff McArthur, Cal
OG - Dan Buenning, Wisconsin/Jason Brown, North Carolina (C-G)
    DT - Lorenzo Alexander, Cal
DE - Adell Duckett, Texas Tech
S - Oshiomogho Atogwe, Stanford/Atari Nigby, Central Florida/Andre Maddox, NC State

I'd love to see us get Davis or Pool in the first with Petitti in the second and Kay-Jay in the third, but that doesn't really address our need at LB at all.
