    14. LaRon Landry FS-fixes an immediate need

    46. Charles Johnson DE-could start opposite Pep openning day

    78. Ben Grubbs G-the # 2 G in the draft, has to be an uprade over Mathis

    112. Scott Chandler TE-if we're gonna draft a TE, get one even Jake can't overthrow, the guy's 6'7"

given what we've gotten out of the 6th & 7th rounds the last few years, if Samardzjida's still undrafted, I wouldn't mind us taking a flyer on him just in case he starts getting shelled in the minors.

I think TBW's idea was that Nelson would go first, but either way, two safeties went in the top ten last year I believe.

Shows how much I remember about the draft I suppose. I do remember the talking heads saying it was hard to take Sean Taylor as high as he was projected to go because the league does not value safeties that high. Maybe that is changing though.

If Landry and Nelson are both gone then I guess Willis would be my pick. I figure they will bring back Morgan for another year so they probably wont go for a MLB in the first round.

yeah, as of now, I'd agree. Landry/Nelson, and then something else - like Willis. Those aren't our only three options and who knows whether that'll be anything similar in April, but as things sit, that's how I'd go - if the safeties weren't such a difference making force, there'd be more support for Willis. It depends on what happens with Morgan, too.

Part of me really wants a leader like Willis on this team, though.

Terrence Holt isn't terrible but he would not be the answer at safety. Would he even be brought up if his name wasn't Holt? I doubt it.

    #14) LaRon Landy, S, LSU
Best safety in the draft, fits our style, and is a better overall player than Willis or Moss.

    #46) Brian Leonard, FB, Rutgers
Tough inside runner who can also block and catch passes out of the backfield. Think of Hoover with size and talent.

    #78) David Harris, ILB, Michigan
Gritty, instinctive player who doesn't make many mistakes and is almost always in the right place. He's not the fastest guy and won't make many highlights, but he'll prevent them.

    #112) Steve Breaston, PR/KR, Michigan
I don't really care if it's Breaston or someone else, I just demand that we finally draft a full-time return man.

fter watching the Senior Bowl and then going back and watching some tape on specific players, I'd now go.

    #14 Laron Landry - Safety - LSU

    #47 Johnny Lee Higgins - WR/KR - UTEP

    #78 David Harris - LB - Michigan

    #112 Stewart Bradley - OLB - Nebraska

I'll still get a veteran Safety in FA as well as getting a TE.

Pretty much agree here, but I wanted to get some thoughts on the draft with the perspective of having added a safety in Free Agency.
