You just have to pick the right guy. Roethlisberger, for instance.

Roethlisberger was undoubtedly better than Rivers. Grossman didn't deserve to go so high. Vince Young wins football games but shouldn't have gone so high.

All told though, drafting QBs into the right situation is effective. You have to have patience, and other plans. It's undoubtedly complicated, and it's not supposed to be a win-now, solve all your problems move. It's certainly not in our plans.

    But it's viable.

Noticed Mel Kiper Jr. has Kentwan Balmer, the DT from UNC pretty high up his big board. Not too many other people see him that high. I haven't heard too much about this guy this year. Has he been playing that well?
There's the other guy from NCState who was supposed to do pretty well this year, in Demario Pressly.

Kiper's big board is only useful in March as his sources feed him more reliable information about what teams are doing.

I won't be looking at QB. One, because I don't want to take the time to evaluate the candidates properly, and two, because I don't want Carolina drafting another one.

I haven't watched much college ball this year, but when I have watched, I've been watching DEs, a little DT, and S. From here on out, I'll be adding G and RB to that list, and probably OT. I know we need WR badly, but I don't really have a clue of what to look for. WR is so different at the pro level, I wouldn't know what to look for in college games (other than the obvious -- speed and hands).
