He was ALWAYS better than Williams. Plus he has a great work ethic.

no kidding. what a wasted pick that was. Vikes get to try again with the seventh this year.

How about bringing in a guy like Drew Bennett? He is still pretty young and would probably make a nice compliment to Smith. Obviously he would want to start sooner rather than later though.

Even the Gamecock diehards were shocked the Vikings took him with the 7th pick. In college he caught bombs or little screens where he took off for a big play. Never a route runner and never caught balls in traffic. His speed and height at the combine got him picked at the 7th spot...

I remember wondering about that pick at the time. Never bump a guy too high up the draft board based on combine numbers.

He might be a viable option if Keyshawn does retire. It would depend on his price though. After seeing a bunch of receivers change teams for big money then flop this year I am leary of it.

I was against re-signing Moose because I did not think he was worth the money he got from the Bears but looking back on it, it would probably have been a good move.

Had he not been so dead set on being a number one maybe he could have stayed and I'd have been glad, but not for the money/years he got.
