let me make sure you guys understand that i'm not blaming the game on the refs. If the refs would have been good, INDIANA STILL WOULD HAVE WON. Watching that replay, i'm pissed that boozer's dumbass didn't just tip that shot in. I'm also pissed that once again, boozer was having his way in the paint until the second half. And, that's only because duke quit going to him. But, you're not right wossa. K has already one up-ed dean in championships. And *gasp* there ARE more games for him to win. I know you guys love to bring up that k will have more tourney wins because you have to win more games. But must i say weber state and eastern michigan. No game is a given. Just like tonights game. I said it'll be a huge upset if duke didn't make the final four and it was. I'm just glad all the conspiracy theorists can shut up. Although, matt guokas was trying his best to keep it going during the game that night.

 

Wossa, the differences between Duke and UNC are as follows:

Duke was in the tourney, UNC didn't make any post-season festivities, except on TV.

Duke has the #1 recruiting class in the country next year, and UNC has a good class as well.

Duke has probably one of the best coaches ever, and UNC has Doh...

Duke has returning talent, and UNC has transfers out of Chapel Hill, and their best player (Lang) has exhausted his eligibility.

I'm excited for next year - how about you?

In regard to the Duke/UConn game, UConn was quicker than anyone Duke played all season - and they executed when it counted. It was a great game, one of the best finals I'd ever seen - but Duke lost. I was proud that they gave it all they had.

In regard to "Duke having all the talent in the ACC the last 5-6 years" - and to paraphrase on your statements of lottery picks, etc. - how about Antawn, Vince, Wallace, etc? Do you REALLY want to talk about talent? You can't have it both ways - take your pick.

Hope you enjoy next season - because, once again, UNC will be Duke's bitch. We'll take the Heels up the DIRT road to Chapel Hole. And you guys won't be able to sit for a week...


Major kudos to the Indiana Hoosiers. They're a well-coached team, played with heart, didn't give up, hung tough the whole game, and WON the game. Duke had it in their hands, and lost it. I'm sorry JWill had to go out that way - he was too tentative, and not sure why. Boozer was a load tonight, and I wish he and JWill luck in the NBA. Dunleavy, put on another 20 pounds, come back, get YOUR ring with the incoming Frosh, Jones, Duhon and Ewing...

Hey Wossa, at least Coach K was there to restrain his player and keep him from looking like even more of an ass. Where was Deano when Mahktar was jumping up on tables making insluting gestures to people?

WYDD - If Boozer didn't tip it, he should have gone strong to the basket. He's 6'9, 270 or so pounds. Be agressive!

Duke had a disappointing end to a very good year. I look forward to next year.

wossa, watching sportscenter for the 3rd time today, i haven't seen the shove. I'm being unbiased at this point because the season is over and there is nothing more that can change that. Boozer got hacked in the head, but it looks like the strip attempt got all ball.

 

that's the strip attempt i was talking about mm. I think it was jeffries who reached down and hit the ball, kept boozer from going up strong.
