Fairley and Quinn had injury problems to the ankle and brain, respectively. Not entirely surprising they dropped

Aldon Smith was a surprise to me, but Newton & Locker were both expected to go in the top 10. Ponder at 12 was the surprise. It also was not unexpected that Fairley and Quinn both fell out of the top 10.

I dont know that Id pick a guy at 9 that Id even consider changing positions. If hes not an elite tackle why pick him in the first place? If we were talking about a 4th 5th rounder sure. You want a guy thats impressive on the field and is an elite player in his draft class, not a project. Could it work? Possibly. Hell of a gamble though. Id take Decastro or Reiff. Id say Decastro was the more impressive of the two at his position.

You mean a project that dominated the SEC at his position and won a national championoship?

Btw projects dont generally win ROTY, just sayin....

Cam was drafted to be our starting QB because he was the best player in our FOs view, dont confuse that with the experts on message boards opinions. Asking a guy to change postions is a project, see Edwards, Armanti.

Not that its the gospel, but Kiper now has Poe at 11 overall. He opened some eyes and will get drafted pretty highly for sure.

Kiper also had Clausen in his top 5. I really don't think teams will be stupid enough to take Poe in the top 15, but it's possible. He was just so bad on film at Memphis that it's hard to imagine people ignoring that.
