We could always get him as a backup for Jake. Of course, nobody can replace Jake.

McNabb is a good QB but I am pretty excited to see what Moore can do. He is a lot younger then McNabb. I am not sure how good McNabb would be in our offense. He has never really been on an offense that runs the ball like we do.

McNabb would do fine in our offense, and I don't see how being on a team that runs it more would hurt him.

It's hard to play QB with a strong run game.

McNab is a tier above what we have or have ever have. We should stay away from that at whatever cost.

He just doesn't get the respect he deserves like Manning or Brady!

Our run heavy offense is different than the pass happy WCO McNabb has run his whole career. I am not saying he could not adjust but it would be different for him.

Maybe I am being too optimistic but Moore looked like a franchise QB to me this past year.

I'm happy with Moore - I'm just afraid if we keep Moore and Jake, they might opt for Jake.

If we had McNabb and Jake they might opt for Jake too. I doubt it but it could happen.

There is no way it makes any sense to start a struggling, aging veteran QB with a questionable arm when you have a young guy in the last year of his deal who showed a lot of promise when he got to play. Successful teams transition to younger players all the time. Even with really good QBs this happens. Kurt Warner got squeezed out by Marc Bulger, Eli Manning and then again, temporarily by Lienart. Drew Brees got squeezed out by Rivers. The Steelers never looked back when Big Ben took over for Maddox. The Packers were ready to go with Rodgers even when Favre wanted to come back. Drew Bledsoe was done when Tom Brady took over. It is just how the NFL works. Good and young beats good and old every time.

This thread is even about Kolb pushing out McNabb. Unless you are John Elway or Dan Marino this is how your career is going to likely end.
