Does anyone really think things are going to be any better with Rivera?

I think we will have a different head coach in 3-4 years. He will not be given the time to make real changes. I doubt this team sees 7-9 for at least 3 years and that will be enough to spell the end of Rivera's tenure. Hopefully it spells Hurneys end as well.

Kind of early to be throwing Rivera under the bus. The guy hasn`t coached a regular season game yet let alone a regular season.
Take a few drinks, get laid and relax. Its only football.

I am not throwing Rivera under the bus. I think he is a good coach. I just think the deck is signed to long term contracts and stacked against him.

anywhere I lay my head I'm gonna call my home
if we're not limited by our QB. I don't think we will be, that much, and he'll add facets, but Cam does take a different approach to all this than the typical Coryell guy.

I definitely think that McDermott is quality stock too.

I dunno. I have faith in Rivera, he's who I would've hired if you take away Harbaugh (and he did go quickly). But I've had times where I doubted, and I think the startoff point will be tough. Every one of his predecessors had at least 7 wins their first year. Two of them were in the playoffs year two.

Yep. DC is better. Plus Rivera doesnt seem to have that satisfied attitude Fox had for the last years. So yes, I think so.

Davidson was a big part of the problem last year with Clausen. I might as well reiterate my huge crush on John Shoop, as he did a brilliant job breaking in a new quarterback for the Heels. Rollouts, motion to show the coverage, quick short passes to put the QB in an advantageous situation and spare him from needing to always read the safeties. As a UNC fan I'm happy he's where he is, but I really have no idea why the guy isn't back in the NFL. He's a quality pro-level coordinator.

Actually my post wasn`t directed toward you, but more with the thread starter. Still getting laid is going to win most times when up against watching the Panthers play this season.

I must admit, I have a man crush on him as well now after seeing what he did.
