Does anybody listen to Primetime anymore?

FYI-DJ 'The Suit' Stout originally went to Wingate on a soccer scholarship, but got his degree at UNC-Charlotte (talked to him last fall at the DOG POUND before a Panthers game . . . He couldn't believe I wasn't still pissed about him cancelling Jim Rome !!!!!!!!!)


BTW, I don't know of any FNZ personalities who lurk this board . . . I've dropped a few hints to Packer, Stout, & Williams, but I don't think they've ever joined the board (or maybe they just read what's on here). Ever since the SPORTS MEDIA board 1st got overhauled, traffic over there has died as well as the dialogue from Williams & Stout. I'm not sure they even know about the 2nd overhaul of the board over at CLT.com . . . Hardly anybody goes there now!!!!!!!!!!

 

Atlanta has 2 stations . . 790 THE ZONE & 680AM . . . Are U saying FNZ is better than both of them ? ? ? ?

 

I check in from time to time. The Page IMO is OK I guess, but I get the impression that the accent is more on comedy than sports. TK on at 10 is much better and has way more credibility than our local hams. Dan Patrick has real connections and big time guest spots. Prime Time gets on my nerves most of the time and I am a Heels fan (give it a rest). Some of their so called experts are laughable, but their not as stupid as most of the call in personalities. Why they cut Jim Rome is a mystery to me, now he was really funny and had connections as well. I still listen though.

 

what is amazing is how jim rome parlayed his shit into a national audience. he is the worst sports radio "personality" ever.

 

I think most of this stuff is comedy and I take it as that.

 

Given a choice between 3 hours of JIM ROME & 4 hours of THE PACKMAN, which would you choose ? ? ? At least Jim Rome would talk about baseball, football & hoops in depth vs. Packman's yapping about the Giants/Dodgers rivarly for the umpteenth time and what little bit he talked about the Hornets, when they were still here . . .

 

fnz is the most worthless piece of trash radio I've ever listened to.

5 minutes was all I could take the last time I road through Charlotte. I couldn't even figure out what the hell they were talking about.

I agree somewhat. At first I could'nt stand him at all, mostly on TV, but after listening to him on the radio I kinda became a fan. He can really bust on somebody and it IS funny. He was my favorite voice before they yanked him.

 

jim rome sucked the whole time. fortunately, i can choose not to listen to neither pacman or rome. they both are tiresome and repetitive. the only quality programming that fnz puts on is Kornheiser and Patrick and Knights Baseball.

 

ROME SUCKS. He is a punk. SOCAL. ERRRR. He is the Howard Stern of Sports radio. All flash and no substance. IN Depth, you gotta be kidding! And on top of that the calls he takes(your take and don't make it suck) SUCK. These are guys who sit around all day making up their "take" just so the can try and get on the radio. Get a life.

As far as Atlanta, yeah they suck. A bunch of old Georgia fans gripping. Wa Wa Wa... Get very old very quick.
