Given who was on the board at the time, (Williams, Albert, Mendenhall, etc), are you happy with the pick?

Harvey and Clady gone, I'm cool with it.

No. Stewart is a solid running back, but not worthy at #13. My main concern is that he ran in a spread offense and has no experience in a pro-style blocking scheme. We don't know if he can excel in our system because the spread is so vastly different. Plus reaching on Stewart so early forced us to panic and mortgage our future for Otah.

I didn't really love where we were at. Clady went right before us, and Harvey went way early. I didn't care for Williams personally. I wouldn't have minded Otah at 13 and picking the best available back in the second round.

I would have rather gone for a back later and moved down a few spots or just grabbed Otah there. I like Stewart and think he'll be a nice compliment to Williams, but I think we could have gotten a similar type of back later in day one.
With Harvey gone and the brass feeling it was too early for Otah, they went with it. I am OK with it, considering the other options weren't that great there.
Gotta get a DE with the next pick, NO DOUBT!

They obviously valued Otah, and took him at 18. So I don't get why he wouldn't be a fit at 13.

    Because they coveted Stewart.

Mendenhall is in a bit of a free-fall. Wonder if theres something I don't know about him (character issues, etc)? Might be more to it why we took Stewart over him.
