What are the best ones? looking replacement for a folding attic ladder. We use our attic frequently for seasonal storage. My wife and I both are, well let's just say a bit overweight so need heavy duty construction.

The sliding counterbalanced type by Bessler looks good with a angle that's not so steep. Willing to pay a bit more for something heavy duty on this.

recommendations please on any type; pro's and con's on the Bessler sliding stairway?

    near Raleigh area.

edit: perhaps if you dropped a few pounds, you'd be able to expand your options here. Plus, it will allay future health problems and allow you to live a longer, fuller life.

    god bless you

werner makes steel and aluminum attic stairs. you can check the specs for the weight limitations. lowes sells them.

    additional info appreciated.

have checked out the Werner attic ladders at LOWES; but now found out about a Bessler disappearing stairway that is less steep to walk up and seems more heavy duty. hoping someone could give pro's and con's on the Bessler style or any other recommendations.
