Shelton, Basannez, Hill, Bush, Tiddle. still not sold on Hill but would rather him take the hits vs Gamble and Smith. he turned a nothing into something that was lucky, but nice

    Tiddle was streaky...

The four guys that I walked away with memories where, in this order

Basanez - The dude looked crisp in most of his throws and came through in clutch moments. It was like Halloween and Brett was wearing a Delhomme suit. He has his Cardiac moment in the final two minutes

Shelton - Considering all the bad press he has recieved, he played his ass off and maybe even got himself a reprieve.

Bush - Dude seemed to be just about everywhere Pittsburgh did not want him to be

Hill - Steelers coverage units appreared pretty good last night, but on his final return he tried to make something happen and did.

Keith Adams had one hell of a hit.

Except for the fumble I thought Shelton looked pretty good. He was finishing off his runs and hitting the hole hard. I am hoping we keep him now.

Javon Haye seemed to be in on a ton of plays.

Keith Adams had a monster hit that caused a fumble.

Give Brett Basanez a couple of years experience and he could easily beat out Weinke. He had a couple of thread the needle throws that his receivers just dropped. He really impressed me. He looked like a real NFL QB, not those diamonds in the rough we're always playing with like Fasani, Craig, and LeFlors.

Hill scares the crap out of me the way he catches the ball on PR. If we keep him I say he'll be good for a least 2 or so muffed punts. He does look smart at picking out his blockers though.

it was ambiguous considering how we were using personnel (i.e., playing guys like Moorehead and Brown early in the game, even at end, and then subbing Wallace in later), but Adams played 3rd behind Draft and Anderson. None of the 3 stood out. It was a little bit refreshing that Seward still started at MLB over Draft but he did not stand out. Last game he had.

Haye was pretty active. Was being moved around between LDE and RDE. McClover played sparsely. So I don't know of the 2 what their plans are but initially I'd edge mcClover there.

Draft started at WLB. I suspect they were resting him as a starter.

Moorehead and Brown are on the bubble, so they may have wanted to see them with the better players.

yep, and they were trying out to see which of the two were more adaptable to end if necessary. They didn't play Haye any at DT that I saw, so unfortunately I believe that puts us at 5 DT and 4 DE.

TV also said they were going to try Ellison at end, I didn't end up seeing this happen. Don't think it'll matter, unless he sits on the PS again and somehow grows a set over the year. Even then, he'd have to beat out Carstens (since Moorehead's a free agent even if he sticks).
