Did we have that player this year that sky rocketed up draft boards like Matt Jones last year?

I dunno. I cant think of one, really, like Jones. I cant think of one guy who just punked the combine to make an otherwise mid first day selection vault into the first round....

One guy laid a turd and it seems like destiny for the Panthers to draft him at 27.

A couple of guys bought themselves a round (Maurice Drew, Chad Jackson, off the top of my head) with their 40s, but nobody that I can think of who was completely off the radar and exploded onto the scene like Jones did last year. The freaks of this year's draft are Mario Williams and Vernon Davis, but neither of those guys snuck up on anyone.

Addai jumped to the first round it seems, and a couple others did well, but nobody came out of absolute nowhere to be a 1st.

Simms and Cutler moved up about 10 to 15 spots. Matt Jones jumped a couple of rounds.

Maybe that CB Cromatie, or whatever his name is. Or CB Joseph. They're workouts helped alot. Cromatie was being downgraded because he didnt play last year due to injury, or something.

Williams was rated in the 20's by many back in January and Davis was in the mid-teens...I'd say both would qualify to some extent. Not in the way Jones did, but similarly.
Davis' combine performance did as much to vault him as Jones' performance did last year. What really got people thinking about Jones was his work at the Senior Bowl.
