I thought he did a fine job of turning and handing it off. :)

    He's been good enough.

He's probably not a world-beater, but the way the panthers play, he doesn't really need to be. He's able to move around some to avoid pressure, he seems to be making smarter throws, and he should continue to improve with each week in the system. He's doing just about everything right so far. The Dilfer comparison most of the media is making is pretty spot on, except Jake is much more athletic when it comes to moving the pocket. If he plays smart and avoids the bonehead throws, then he could very well play a long time in this style offense. And to be perfectly honest, until we get behind early and have to throw 35-40 times in a game, the "ain't that good" comment is a little premature.

He still made plays Peete wouldn't have moving in the pocket and throwing. He was only 2 catches away from a big stat day. The flea flicker and Smith's out of bounds. He's getting closer.

SD is the key. He adds so much to the movement of the ball. BTW why were they running Foster up the middle. guess they saw something on the tape about going around the end.

the flea-flicker was about 6 inches long, and he threw one about 60 yards in the air to a wide open smith but it was out of bounds by about a yard. Seriously, I thought he played pretty well within the framework of the run-first offense.

He makes just enough plays to keep the opposing D honest, it seems. Whether the passes are getting caught or not, he's still spreading the field.
