    I've thought many times that the Panthers became addicted to the passing game last year. Steve Smith was unbelievable for such a long stretch (the whole season) that it was very easy to get hooked into believing that no matter how bad the rest of the team was playing, Delhomme to Smith would solve the issue.

    Well, the last two games has proven that even with Smith on the field, the Panthers can be beaten.

    they ran a graphic last night saying his rating on 3rd down was something like 33.4. That put him last in the league.

    He's pretty much the same regardless of the score, he just royally sucks on third downs.

    Brady has been 4-4. The Pats started 4-4 during their first Super Bowl season. It's amazing that they won a title that year, because as we know, 4-4 is generally the end of the world.
