No, he really isn't, and he's not even close. 19 receivers had over 1000 yards last year alone, and plenty more have done it at least once. Branch never has.

:umno: He has never had a 1000 yard season and never more than 8 TD's not to mention he has been injury prone.

Theres a reason the Jets only wanted to give up a 2nd round pick for him.

Brady made him what he is along with Givens.

Branch is barely a top 20 reciever. He couldn't even start for the Panthers, Colts, Cowboys or Bengals, just off the top of my head, and that alone almost puts him out of the top ten.

The Pats were lucky to get a 1st rounder for him.

Yeah, the pats really needed yet another 1st round pick so they can restock their depleted stable of talent :umno:

it must be nice to be able to take a dump on a paper plate and sell it for thousands of dollars

Branch is a good player, just not a great one. I agree with Bill Simmons about this being Belichick's "I'm Keith Hernandez!" moment, though. Whether or not he's worth his demands, the Pats needed Branch this season.

They could have used Branch this season but they will be fine when Doug Gabriel and Chad Jackson get in the line up.

This is more like the 2004 Patriots which will be a power running team with 3 great backs. Not to mention Faulk catching the ball out of the backfield and lining up in the slot and the two great tight ends in Graham and Watson.

Brady will have plenty of weapons.

Time will tell, I suppose. Gabriel has never been a regular starter and depending on a rookie WR is pretty sketchy.
