if a player with the ball runs out of bounds with the ball, its marked where he went out of bounds. i can only assume that was their call because they didnt put the ball at the 40. either way, horrible call.

I didn't know it was a rule because I've never, ever seen that. I always thought that a kickoff going OB meant a penalty on someone, regardless of whether it hit a player or not.

I know the "Wes Welker Rule". If a guy catches a KO with part of his body OB, it's a penalty on the KO team. But I've never seen a kickoff ever marked at the spot that it went OB.

either way, it kept about half the nation tuned in for the 2nd half, if they get the call right, this game is over at halftime.

Absolutely correct. Even if they say that it touched the man while some part of him was out of bounds, that should have put it on the 40. Yet another high profile fuckup by refs who don't know the rules.

Yeah, I kept thinking "well, shouldn't there at least be a penalty?"

Big break for Arizona in field position.

Crud. Really starting to wish I'd have put $10 on the Cards to win it all back at the start of the playoffs. Would have paid $1010 at +10,000.

Zona's defense is fucking ballin' man. I don't know if any of it matters at this point.

Warner's pacing for his 4th perfect QB rating of his career (jesus christ!)

I don't think that was the ruling. The ref ruled orignially that the ball touched the Eagle player prior the ball going out of bounds. So by rule, placing the ball where it was is the correct call.

Neither of course happened, so it was still a monumental fuckup.

This looks a lot like that time Seattle overwhelmed us.

Philadelphia needs some points on this drive.
