You can try deodorant soap shavings and hair, but they won't work long either. If you're in an area with lots of deer or rabbits you're going to need a fence. I tried everything and my garden always became an all-you-can-eat critter buffet until I fenced it in.

That does not work. My friend snored loud enough to wake the neighbors and he awoke one morning to a buck ripping his screen off his window and snorting up a storm. I don't think the buck liked being woken up by his snoring.

I've only used a rabbit fence. Put mothballs in mesh and hung em around the fence. Worked all of last year and up till this week. This year i added Irish Spring soap cause i heard about it on the Andre Viette show.
Do you have a 6ft fence? or is it 8ft they can jump over? I don't want anything permanent right now. I just take down the rabbit fence at the end of the season and my brother tills it all up with his tractor.
Can't really spend the dough on a fence right now, so repellants and scare tactics is the best i got. :rifle:

I have heard that you can put plastic mesh netting to cover them and it keeps the deer out. A woman I know did that to protect her strawberry and rasberry plants and hasn't had a single problem so far this year.
