That's the rumor. Nothing for sure but likely. The shot from Pittman did for him.

    Notes: Hall out for finale

Flowery Branch — Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall will not play in Sunday's final game against Carolina Sunday after tests Monday revealed that he separated his left shoulder in Saturday's 27-24 overtime loss to Tampa Bay.

Coach Jim Mora added that veteran defensive end Brady Smith would likely be placed on injured reserve, as the dislocated toe that has sidelined him for the past eight games remains problematic.

Hall, who was injured on a 65-yard interception return in the first half, will need 4-6 weeks to recover but Mora said if Hall is healthy enough, he should participate in the Feb. 12 Pro Bowl, Hall's first.

"I'd hate to see him miss that game," Mora said. "He earned the chance to play in it."

However, "If it's something that's going to hamper his ability to have a productive offseason and go into next season at full strength, then I'm sure we'll make the right decision and he'll make the right decision."

Omare Lowe will replace Hall in the starting lineup, Mora said.

The decision to place Smith on the IR, which make him unavailable to play again this season, was also driven by the need to activate a player off the practice squad to protect him from being "poached" by another team, Mora said.

Regarding other injuries, tailback Warrick Dunn (hamstring) and guard Matt Lehr (calf) should be healthy enough to play, Mora said. Safety Keion Carpenter (thigh), who did not play against Tampa Bay, remains questionable.
