dubya, while i respect the homerism, did you read the article? for us or against us? what the fuck are you talking about? that article was fucking lame. no one is arguing we're not better off, but to trash a longtime panther who grew into a team leader is fucking lame. what got up your ass?

I added to it. I didn't edit anything out.

To add to some other thoughts above, it's interesting how overblown the media decided to make the D.Coy thing (yeah, leading the league two years in a row in receiving stats, then watching the team go in the shitter while you have a "different role" can be frustrating) is that I can remember Wesley Walls bitching at least once a year between 1996 and his second injury that he needed the ball more.

And I don't remember a bit of bitching about how selfish Walls was. Not once.

I think it's ridiculous for Gantt to call Muhammad a "high priced Ricky Proehl". That makes no sense considering what each player did here, and the style of play each has.

The RHH basically has one real writer. In small staffs, writers double as reporters and columnists. I thought this was clearly an opinion piece. I suspect everything he wrote was true. I've heard similar things, and seen them myself.

I do think Gantt could have said more positive things about Moose, and not implied that he was greedy. I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to be the #1 WR. It's more fun that way, and football is supposed to be fun.

So I would say slightly mean spirited.

My personal opinion is that while flawed, like most people, there is more positive about Moose than negative.
