Well, again, it wasn't a game story, it was a column, or, his opinion. You don't have to agree with it. I never had a problem with Moose when I talked to him or interviewed him, so the column didn't bother me as much as it has bothered others apparently.

Gantt's a writer, not a columnist. He shouldn't try to be a columnist.

Honestly, it sounds like he's pandering to what he thinks people want to hear.

call him what you will, that piece was loaded with his opinion. Sounds like a column (while he's not a full time columnists a-la Sorenson) to me.

    I didn't say it wasn't a column - I said he shouldn't try to write columns.

I don't care if Moose bent Gantt's wife over a sink; in this capacity his job is to write about Muhammad as a football player, not his own personal experience with him or feelings about him. The article/column was a bush-league, pussy-ass move.

I used to think Gantt and Yasinskas were decent. But honestly, it's not just here. The entire field of sports journalism has gone right down the shitter.

I never read the paper anymore. As has been noted, by the time they write something, the idea has been beaten to death here for a week at the very least.

Collin, thats just garbage. You enjoy opinion pieces written in a positive light about your favorite guys, so why, when it is a little negative with facts throw in as well, is it bad?

Opinion pieces are there for you to like or dislike. It's obvious you dislike it because he injected some negative feelings, and thats fine. Kinda like not liking something on radio--you can always change the station.
