As much as I like the Lucas signing, I still wonder if getting a better wr would have been more prudent. Was a third quality CB more important than a good sized WR

that may tell us what they're looking at in this draft. There should be at least one of the top tier WR available at 14.

remember 3rd down? it should help us get off the fucking field once in a while, that shit drove me insane last year. i think the plan is to get back to the plan. ball control, stifling D, slam it down your throat, demoralizing football. if the Oline controls pit it'll make a big difference. this is not going to be last years team, and i think the thinking is we don't need 2 top tier wr's to be the kind of team we want to be. i don't think we're abandoning the plan, just getting ourselves back to it.

disagree. which is one, why we tried to resign moose, and two why they will draft a wr on day one this year.

and who beyond williams and edwards, who will not get to 14, do you speak of? i like clayton pretty well. scared of williamson (? sc) and beyond that i don't think any wr is being mentioned as a top 20 pick.

Smith and Colbert are fine as starters in my book. A little depth would be nice. If Proehl comes back and we can draft a guy who can also return punts we should be fine.

I would like to see us use the TE more. Maybe we do draft Heath Miller and use the tight end for some of the stuff we used to throw to Moose.

Well, there is always the Heath Miller option. He'll likely be available at 14 and is considered by most the top TE in the draft. I realize this would be out of character for our front office, but then so is spending big on day 1 of free agency. As much as I think Mangum is underrated, and that Seidman is developing nicely, it would sure be nice to have a real offensive weapon at TE like the old Walls days.
