    So says Yasinskas:

McCoy's agent is probably thrilled that Yas spelled his client's name wrong.:spanka:

news is nice. A second interview means they haven't just outright decided on McCoy. I don't take Yas' speculation as anything, though, because they may have met with him in regards to the position coach assignments.

Yeah, pure speculation on Yas's part, I'm guessing. Still, grist for the mill.

yeah. it's news, so it's something for those of us neglecting our jobs waiting for the news. And it's news to those of us hoping that it's not simply about appeasing a couple of players.

Oline coaches are by nature going to cater to the running game, O-lineman LOVE to run the ball.

I believe a true lack of other expected interviews means Davidson is a position coach, not an OC in theory; he wasn't especially good as an OC either, and was only there because the guy ahead of him was released.

That's concerning, to a point; Davidson's not a terrible coach because his units didn't fare well, but he's certainly never shown anything well above average either. So in the end, he's not above some of the other guys out there, and the names out there are so few that we really should be able to talk to all of them (all three of them, if you negate Maser, Grimm, and the two very inexperienced Oakland guys who showed nothing). I'd rather have the other two, either guy - Tom Cable or Steve Loney - and neither are getting any press at all.

A question....he was Assoc. HC in Cle....taking a OL Coach spot is a step down, right?

He has to be the OC candidate on that logic, true?
