You gotta figure that's gonna happen.

FWIW - He's never faced the Bucs.

might give us an up - they don't have direct film on him, for instance. So if you're putting together a new gameplan for a new QB, you can tailor a little more to the team and the player v/s "well, this worked last week, so let's try it."

They're small and quick up front, so we have to execute (as opposed to all those times we didn't have to execute?), but they have a small, quick front and we need to spread and pound that front.

Rex Kramer: [talking to Steve McCroskey] Our only hope is to build this man up. We gotta give him all the confidence we can.
    [to Carr]
Rex Kramer: Carr, have you ever done well against a good pass rush before?
    David Carr: No, never.
Rex Kramer: Shit. It's a God damn waste of time. There's no way he can win this game.

I'd be ok with one of those 8 pass 52 run games.

Carr playing against the Bucs this Sun. kinda scares me. I think that Carr is a little shellshocked from playing with the Texans and their bad O-line from all those years. Maybe it was just because it was preseason, but he seemed to have bailed pretty quick--running backwards for 30 yards. He never really seemed to trust our O-line when the pocket collapsed around him. Maybe he was having flashbacks and panicked, but maybe now he's trusting our O-line. I don't know--I'm certainly not in the man's brain to know what he's thinking. But he seemed to play with a little more confidence when he came in for Jake Sun.

I guess we'll see this Sun.

Wharton is listed on the inury list, hopefully he'll play. Gaines Adams hasn't done much so far, 3 tackles no sacks. Not sure how much pressure he's getting. The team has 5 sacks, so they aren't bringing the heat too much. Carr just can't hang on to the ball all day. He did pretty well against the Falcons. They must have seen something on film about Huston the rookie corner, because they ran the same play twice against him - a Colbert go route.

On TV they said that Davidson asks Delhomme and Carr for their five favorite plays before every game, and that one was on Carr's list.
