Great players who went in search of a title with teams that were in position. Fact of pro sports. Guys do that all the time. Only thing about Andreychuk is that he played for BAD TEAMS his WHOLE CAREER, so thats why there is such talk about him.

ANdreychuk did play for the Sabres for years when they couldnt get out of the 1st round, but he played for the Devils for a number of years and I just checked his stats, and it looks like he was playing for Toronto in 93. But regardless of who he played for, Im sick of the networks pushing this sentimental BS on us each year. If they ever pull that shit with Lindros I swear I'll puke. And you've got to admit that when a player leaves a team he's spent his entire career with to be a rent-a-player, it tarnishes their image.
As for Andreychuk in particular, he's scored a shitload of goals, but he has always been slow footed a one dimensional. I think it would be a shame if he makes the hall of fame because he is nothing more than a product of the scoring boon of the late 80's and early 90's.

OK, playa, now you are talking some reasonable points...

Andreychuk is nothing more than a goal scorer. hes not a speed guy (you are right about that--in fact he may be the slowest guy in the league). But, and I go to your area of knowledge--NBA, is Malone a sell out after playiong so long in Utah? Does that tarnish his image? mI hate Malone, but I have ALWAYS hated him....I respect his game, one of the best forwards the league has ever known. If he gets his ring with LA (like I think he will), then watch...it will be his story of how close he has come and never won it....ABC/ESPN will push that angle on us. It's part of the show. Mind you, Malone is bigger in the NBA than Andreychuk is in the NHL -- not comparing the players careers here -- but still Andreychuk's story is a good one. Let it be told.
