RT @ZReportDraft: Sources say Panthers leaning towards sticking w/ Claussen & waiting for QB. Scouts saying "put Dareus 1 & keep him there"

I don't know who the fuck zreportdraft is.
    I do prefer Dareus.

It's not the first time I've read someone quote Carolina's 'board', when I doubt they have anything concrete and don't have anything likely visible to staff.

I don't oppose passing on drafting a QB but geez, relying on Clausen seems totally insane to me.

Clausen needs a vet ahead of him on the depth chart.

If the report has any substance to it at all, which seems doubtful anyway, then I imagine it just means that Clausen is the young QB and will have some sort of experienced competition for the job. Ideally you really don't want two inexperienced guys competing, so drafting a new guy would mean giving up on JC.

even under the idea of seeing a draft board that's probably not just sitting out somewhere, it wouldn't include info on Clausen, so if true, the Clausen part would either just be commentary or false.

I would anticipate that we would have a vet either way. Maybe Bulger.

Since there is no one dominate QB available in the draft and a good number of need positions have issues, Dareus just makes too much sense. Bring in a bunch of players giving people the impression we arn't sold and see if someone will give us a 2 for us to slide back 2-6. Otherwise, Dareus is the pick

I'm afraid to start the season with Moore, but then again, I'm not ready to give up on him as our potential starter. Seems like everyone else has, though. Who knows, he may have had a pretty good year if JR hadn't gutted the team and the injury didn't occur.

Dareus makes more sense to me unless a trade down occurs that results in us picking up an immediate impact player. I see that as unlikely with the less-than-stellar talent in this draft.

Rivera said on NFL Live that Dareus is a better player than Fairley.

seriously, Rivera's quickly saying before the season starts, more than we got out of coaches in 16 years before that. And Dom had a fucking television show.

I like John Fox a lot but about halfway through Rivera's first presser as Carolina coach I was happy we made the change.
