I like Morganton, Boone, Blowing Rock, West Jefferson and most of those small shitholes in western NC. Great people, good beer, amazing scenery, what’s not to love?

 

The worst part of the state to me is the wasteland between I-95 and about a half hour before the coast.

I travelled while on active duty and still find this a great area in which to live. And to answer your question, there’s not much not to love. Let me know if you’re passing through and I’ll. It you a beer. As a bonus, my treat on some GOOD & SAFE moonshine too!

I'm going to take you up on that! I'm planning on being in shape enough to do Blood, Sweat, and Gears this year, which means some mountain rides are in order. Maybe I'll make sure one goes through Morganton.

 

Anyone who has ever been to Robeson County and that wonderful flatland area called Lumberton will know that all other shit holes pale in comparison to that shit hole. I should know, I was born/hatched/pushed out there.
Lenoir, Morganton,Linville are all resorts compared to Lumberton.
