Jenkins is down to around 335 now, so the 350 figure is out the window. That was at the beginning of camp.

Spoon was also injured a good bit in college, I think.

    Spoon - 6'1" 231
    Morgan - 6'2" 245

First, I'm not defending Morgan. I was there when he broke his leg. The field was coming apart. I will always believe the field conditions caused the injury and can't fault him for that. I agree that he may be too muscular. That said, he has to be on the field. I like the suggestion to play him on the 'side.

Witherspoon can protect his legs. He can't fill the hole as well, but I'm saying that Morgan takes too many body shots - it's not a matter of wearing down putting a shoulder on a fullback.
Morgan would be injured less if he were 235 - guaranteed. He's maxed out, and inflexible.

I think Morgan can do more to get on the field. Whether it is playing with pain or doing a better job of getting his body ready he needs to do it. He is suppose to be a leader on this team and he is never on the field. I still wish we had went another way when we drafted him. We could have had Drew Brees. He might turn out to be a really good QB. We have better wide outs than San Diego.

He got his paycheck. He's not worried about pushing it anymore.

If he is cut tomoorow he has plenty of green. Somebody else will pick him up, give him a another big payday. He'll go all out make some big hits and get the new teams fans all juiced. Then he'll get injured and he'll start dogging it again.

If he doesn't get his ass back in there soon he needs to go.

Fox made it sound like he would play last week, he almost guaranteed he would play next week. It's obvious that Fox thinks he is ready to play.

Morgan isn't scared of hitting anybody but he is scared of getting hurt. The Panthers don't need any scared linebackers out there.

God forbid he ever has a knee injury. It will take him 3 years to get well.

For those of you that think a hamstring injury isn't painful you have no idea. If you ever pull one, and I'm not talking about straining one but a pull, rest a few weeks and maybe even rehab. Then go out and try to run at full speed, see how you do. I bet you pull it again. It's a difficult muscle to heal. He has been injured a lot, but all his injuries take time to heal. Some of you don't want to wait, I on the other hand would like to. We have capable backups and when he's healthy we're a stronger team.
