Actually we should have let them both go. Witherspoon will be a disappointment in St. Louis and certainly won't ever earn that contract, although he's better than Morgan. And I was actually just thinking that I'm not completely sure we wouldn't be better with Seward in there. He sure seemed to be plugging a lot more holes than Morgan through the first two exhibitions.

Seward's all over the fucking place. I haven't noticed him being above average in coverage, but it's rare a backup MLB is. He's got ridiculous range on both the run and pass, though.

I'm guessing they'd play Draft initially and then get Seward a little time with the first unit before giving a bunch of time to Ciurciu (who's theoretically on the bubble, but I can't see how he's even in consideration).

It looked like Morgan took a pretty good shot on the play when Anderson got a sack, about 20 seconds left in the 1st quarter. Draft was in for the next series.

I didn't think that was Morgan. I was trying to figure out who the other LB was on that play, but whoever it was looked black to me. They did take a pretty good shot, though, so maybe it was.

Looks white to me but it might not have been Morgan. I can't see the number.

PS It was morgan on the preceding play. I think with the blitz called, it had to be Morgan.

Maybe, but if so then that would have been the only time Morgan and Anderson were on the field together all night. Usually when Anderson was playing nickel, Adams was beside him, and Adams was in at that point. Doesn't really matter, I guess.

Other than Morgan's banged up AGAIN. I think I'll have to record the games only half to a disk. That way, I'll be able to use the higher quality settings and maybe will be able to see it well enough to know for sure whether he was black or white,

I am glad we did not give Spoon what he got in St. Louis but I would have gave him something similar to what we gave Morgan. I think he would have took a deal like that if we had done it early like we did with Morgan.

I hope Seward does get a chance to play some this year. He has looked really good in preseason.

Reportedly we actually offered Witherspoon almost as much (I think it was a $12 million bonus, but I'm not sure - he got a $15 mil bonus), but he took the extra money from the Rams. Someone on here mentioned that because I remember being apoplectic that we would willingly overpay him even that much when we're already throwing around too much money.
