But blowing your knee out at Duke and HOPING (because nothing is guarantee) you make it back to where you once was and doing the same thing with $6 million in your pocket is different.

That really doesn't make a huge difference , if he blows out hos knee after one year, he can't live off 6 mil for the rest of his life, He'll have to get a job. Same if he goes to Duke and it happens. Even if he plays injury free an retires, he'll still likely have to get a job after basketbal becuase like most athelets he has no sense with money, and will have blown it all on houses, jewelry, cars, whatnot.

If he blows his money that's his dumbass. Why can't they go back to college? Seems like NO ONE ever think that's an option with these kids.

If he has no money what college would he go to? Virginia Commonwealth?:laugh1: To me the smarter option would be to get a college education on a scholarship, you get to play in the NCAA tournament, which IMO, is more exciting then the NBA playoffs anyway. And if you blow out your knee or whathhave you, you have a college eduaction to fall back on when looking for a job in th real world, much more easier then trying to find one with just a HS education.
