    straight sports talk radio doesnt grab ratings anymore. he's says "guy talk" must be added to the mix....a little comedy, controversy, hot topics, a little schtick. something else is needed these days to garner listeners, ratings, sponsors. he cites the biggest markets and highest rating shows as reference. where does the sports talk end and the "guy talk" begin? i like his show and value his take on most (but not all) of the topics he covers. he's decent but many of his counterparts are not. he can pull this off. what do you guys think? i've been outspoken on here about this very topic. too many guys trying to be funny while mixing in some sports talk. is straight sports talk so boring that more is needed to grab the attention of the listener these days?

    I like him but would get tired of it if I didn't only listen a handful of times a month.

    cowherd can be good, and he can be awful. when he starts with the baby-talk and other voices I want to shoot the radio. he also will make a good point and then repeat it 5 times.

    if he wants a mix of what he described, he needs to listen to Czaban.
