Somehow, I ended up being the head coach of TWO football teams?

I volunteered to coach a Metro Youth League team and was assigned to the Steelers. We finished our first two practices over the weekend and I got a nice little mix of good talent and attitude with no talent and spoiled rotten little fat kids.
Then the Y just assumes I'll coach my sons team, despite the fact I told them about my other commitment they assigned me to head up the Cowboys.

    10 Weeks...football 7 days a weekand none of it on TV!:thud:

What do you do when those teams play each other?

Different leagues, my son is on a 1st and 2nd grade flag football team. The Steelers are a full contact team of 4th-7th graders who are similarly weighted. Although, they range from 75 to 105 pnds.

Sorry about the mix-up, but it's very cool that you're volunteering.

Don't get me wrong, I am happy to do it...it's balancing everything out that is going to be a bitch. I think the 8th grade teams plays Wed night games, so that will help out a little, I can work flag football on Mon/Wed with games on Sat morning, then MYFA Tu/Th/Fr practice and Sun games.
Hell, if I could get paid 2/3 of what I make to do nothing but coach...I'd be all over that!
As far as coaching itself, I have some good football knowledge as assistants. A couple former Hawkeyes from the early 80's and a guy who has been an asst for a few years. All I do is go around and jump from group to group doing a little psychological coaching, pumping them up and shit like that...after two days, I have NO voice left.
